Two Sizes on the Shelf
One system, two different jobs. The small label states the price of a product; the large display speaks for the aisle itself.
Shelf Labels
- 2.1" – 4.3"
- One label per product. Price, unit price, barcode and QR on the same surface. Separate models exist for freezer and chilled aisles.
Info Displays
- 7.3" – 7.5"
- Aisle ends, gondolas and menu boards. Campaign artwork, six colours and a template that returns to normal in one operation.

Main shelvesThe body of the system; most of the labels are here. The 2.1" and 2.9" models are used and cost per label is what matters most.
Cold chainDamp, cold conditions are hard on a standard label. Freezer models are built for this job and operate down to −25 °C.
Promotion areasWhere short-lived campaigns are set up and taken down. When the campaign ends the info display returns to normal in one operation.
Warehouse and back of houseLocation identity, stock and pick lists. The button model takes confirmation of the picked item at the shelf.
VyTag GatewayThe gateway covering the area distributes the update from the software to every label on the shelf. One device manages up to 3,000 labels across 300 m².

You decide what goes where on the label. Your logo, colour scheme and field layout are defined as a template in VyTag Cloud Software; set up once, it lands on every shelf the same way.

A wireless label with an e-paper screen that shows a product’s price and details on the shelf. The price is sent from the centre and the label updates itself; printing, cutting and fitting paper labels disappears.
VyTag models are rated for up to 5 years at 5 updates a day. The real figure depends on update frequency, screen size and ambient temperature.
No. The labels run on battery and communicate wirelessly. Only the gateway needs power and a network connection; it can be installed with a single cable over PoE.
One gateway manages up to 3,000 labels across roughly 300 m². Larger areas use more than one gateway, and the system sets no upper limit on the number of stores.
The cloud software offers integration over a REST API. Your existing system remains the price source; the ESL only reflects that price on the shelf. The scope is assessed against the software you use.
Once sent from the software, the update reaches the labels within seconds. The time depends on the number of labels and the gateway layout.
There are separate models and mounting parts for the cold chain; freezer models operate down to −25 °C. The aisle type is determined during the site survey.
Labels can be replaced one by one and the system keeps running. On some models the battery is user-replaceable, which lowers the running cost.
