VyTag Selection for Supermarkets
On a supermarket shelf the system has three parts: the label on the aisle, the gateway that covers the store, and VyTag Cloud Software that manages the price.
Gateway

Which aisles is it used on?

Dry goods and main aislesThe body of the system. Most of the labels are here; 2.1" and 2.9" models are used.
Produce and weighed goodsThe only aisle where the price changes during the day. The morning price and the evening price can differ, which makes this the most tiring aisle to label by hand.
Cold chain: meat, deli, dairy and ice creamDamp, cold conditions are hard on a standard label. Freezer models are built for this job: Slim 2.6" Freezer and Pro 2.1" Freezer, rated down to −25 °C.
Promotion islands and aisle endsWhere short-lived campaigns are set up and taken down. The 3.5" label and the 7.5" info display are used together here; when the campaign ends the display returns to normal in one operation.
VyTag GatewayThe gateway covering the area distributes the update from the software to every label on the shelf. One device manages up to 3,000 labels across 300 m²; larger areas use more than one gateway.

Label Templates Designed for Your Business
You decide what goes where on the label. Your store template is set up once; when a new price list arrives the template does not change, only the price field is refreshed.

- A separate template is defined for promotions and aisle ends; when the campaign ends the label returns to its previous template.

The label count matches the number of product lines (SKUs) on the shelf, not the number of units in stock. The exact figure comes out of a shelf count.
The cloud software works over a POS or ERP connection, bulk import from Excel, and an API. Your till system remains the price source; the ESL only reflects that price on the shelf. The scope of the integration is assessed against the software you use.
Yes — two models are built for this: VyTag Slim 2.6" Freezer and VyTag Pro 2.1" Freezer. Both operate down to −25 °C and the Pro model is IP67 rated.
No. Gateway installation and label fitting are done outside trading hours or aisle by aisle; the system starts working as the labels go on.
Yes. While the central price goes to every store, exceptions can be defined per store. Licensing is per store and all stores are managed from a single account.
