There is no single list price for electronic shelf label systems. The cost is set by how many labels you use, what sizes they are, how many gateways the space needs, and how the system integrates with your existing POS/ERP.

This page separates two questions: what drives the price and what changing labels costs you today. You can work the second one out below with your own numbers.

The 5 items that drive the price

Label count and size

The largest item in the cost. Unit price rises with size. In most deployments shelf labels sit in the 2.13"–2.9" range; 4.2" and larger displays are used at a limited number of points such as aisle ends and promotion areas.

Colour requirement

Four-colour models (black, white, red, yellow) are enough for most scenarios. The six-colour RS075 is chosen for campaign and brand communication; its unit cost is higher, so it usually goes on selected points rather than the whole shelf.

Number of gateways

One gateway serves up to 3,000 labels across roughly 300 m². Square metres alone are not decisive though; walls, steel shelving and chillers narrow the coverage. The right number comes out of a site survey.

Software and integration

The cloud software is offered as a subscription. POS/ERP integration is built over a REST API; its scope depends on the software you use and on which system holds the price.

Installation and mounting parts

Depending on the shelf type you need an adapter plate, guide rail, clip or hook. Cold chain and freezer aisles use their own fixing parts.

Is there a monthly subscription?

The cloud software is offered as a subscription; the hardware is a one-off investment. The quote shows the two as separate items.

Can it be installed in stages?
